- Root access, SSH and web console: Log in with an SSH key or password, or open a console in the browser when the network is down.
- Cloud firewall: Allow only the ports and addresses you choose. Rules are set from the dashboard and applied before traffic reaches the server.
- Backups and snapshots: Turn on daily or weekly backups, and take a snapshot before a risky change.
- SSD plans and extra disk: Pick SSD storage for databases and busy sites, or add disk space to a standard plan.
- Usage graphs: CPU, memory, disk and network graphs for every server.
- Command line and API: Create, resize and delete servers from scripts with the bn command line and the REST API.
Frequently asked questions
How does hourly billing work?
Each server is charged for the hours it exists, up to its monthly price. Deleting the server stops billing. A stopped server still holds its disk and IP address, so it keeps billing.
What is the difference between standard and SSD plans?
Standard plans keep your disk on replicated storage and give you more space for the price. SSD plans use solid-state disks for faster reads and writes, which helps databases and busy sites.
Can I upgrade a server later?
Yes. Resize to a larger plan from the dashboard. Your disk, IP address and data stay the same.
Which operating systems can I install?
Pick an image when you create the server. The image list in the order form shows every Linux and Windows version that is currently available.
How do I pay?
Add funds to your balance and usage is taken from it. Prices are shown and charged in your local currency where our payment provider supports it.
