App Platform: deploy from GitHub, GitLab or Docker
Deploy Node.js, Python and static sites from GitHub or GitLab, or run any container image. Free HTTPS, custom domains and redeploys on every push.
Deploy Node.js, Python and static sites from GitHub or GitLab, or run any container image. Every push redeploys. No servers to patch.
- Deploy on push: Add our webhook to GitHub or GitLab and every push to your branch builds and deploys.
- HTTPS and custom domains: Certificates are issued and renewed for you, on our subdomain or your own.
- Scale out: Run more copies of a service behind the load balancer, and change size or count without new code.
- Attach a database: Connect a managed PostgreSQL, MySQL or Valkey database and we set the connection variables for you.
- Sandboxed by default: Every app runs in its own isolated sandbox with its own network rules.
- Environment variables: Set config per app and keep secrets out of your code. Change them and the app restarts with the new values.
Frequently asked questions
Can I deploy from a private repository?
App Platform builds public GitHub and GitLab repositories. For private code, build the image in your CI, push it to your Bytenests Container Registry and deploy it from there.
How is this different from a virtual machine?
A virtual machine is a whole server to manage. App Platform runs just your app: we handle the operating system, builds, HTTPS, restarts and scaling. Pick a virtual machine when you need root access.
What are build minutes?
The time spent building your code into an image. Each account gets a daily allowance, shown in the pricing section.
How am I billed?
Each instance is billed by the hour up to its monthly price. Delete the app and billing stops.
