Two ways to start
Website wizard (the Website page): one flow that can register a domain, create a hosting account, install an app, issue SSL and create a mailbox.
In a hosting account: open the account, then Websites → Create website. Use this when you already have hosting.
One-click apps
Every app gets its own files, database and free SSL. The installer picks a suitable PHP version for each.
WordPress: Blog, business site or store (with WooCommerce)
Joomla: CMS
Drupal: CMS
PrestaShop: Online store
OpenCart: Online store
Moodle: Courses and learning
phpBB: Forum
Laravel: PHP framework starter project
Custom PHP site: An empty PHP site for your own code
Create a site in a hosting account
Open the hosting account and choose Create website.
Choose the domain: a new domain you own, or a subdomain of a site you already have.
Pick an application. For apps with an admin area, enter the site title, admin username, email and password.
Choose the PHP version and leave Free SSL certificate on.
Choose Create website and keep the page open. Setup usually takes a few minutes, and you get the login details when it finishes.
The website wizard
Domain: use a domain already in your account, search and register a new one, or enter a domain registered elsewhere (hosting setup only).
Application: pick an app, optionally on a subdomain.
Email: optionally create a mailbox such as hello@yourdomain.com.
Hosting: create a new hosting account with a plan, or use one you already have.
When it finishes you see the site address, the admin login and the mailbox. We also email the details, including the SPF, DKIM and DMARC records for your mail.
Point your domain
A site only opens once its domain points to the hosting server. The DNS tab shows the records to set and checks them. Domains registered with ByteNests are set up for you. See Domains, DNS and SSL for websites.
Website settings
Choose Manage next to a site to change the PHP version and handler, turn SSL on or off, open the file manager or WordPress admin, and add subdomains. Changing the PHP version restarts PHP for that site only; check that your app supports the new version first.
