The VM page
Open any VM from the list. The tabs on the left are:
Overview: Name, status, image, size, project, IP addresses and tags.
Metrics: CPU, memory, disk and network over the last hour up to 30 days.
Disks: Attached disks. Attach a new disk (1 to 2048 GB), detach a disk, or choose the boot disk.
Network: Public and private IP addresses and a traffic graph.
Firewall: Rules for incoming and outgoing traffic. See VM firewall.
Backups: Backups and snapshots. See Backups and snapshots.
Billing: What this VM has cost.
Tasks: Who did what on the VM: power actions, backups, disk changes and settings.
Power
Start, Stop and Reboot are at the top of the VM page. Stop shuts the VM down and keeps its disks.
More disk space
Attach an extra disk from the Disks tab, then format and mount it inside the VM. CPU and memory sizes cannot be changed on an existing VM; to move to a bigger size, create a new VM and move your data.
Delete a VM
Choose Delete on the VM page. What happens depends on the billing period: hourly VMs are deleted straight away; monthly and yearly VMs are stopped and deleted at the end of the billing cycle, and you can cancel until then. Deleting a VM on a yearly commitment paid monthly charges an early termination fee for the remaining months.
Once a VM is deleted, its disks and data are gone for good. Take a backup first if you might need anything.
