SSH to Linux, Remote Desktop to Windows, or use the browser console.
Linux: SSH
Linux VMs have a bytenests user with sudo rights. The Connect button on the VM page copies the SSH command for you.
ssh bytenests@<public-ip>
sudo -i # become root
If you created the VM with an SSH key, the matching private key must be on the computer you connect from.
Windows: Remote Desktop
For Windows VMs, Connect downloads an .rdp file. Open it with Remote Desktop and sign in with the password you set.
Browser console
Console opens the VM screen in your browser. It works even when networking or SSH is broken. Hover over the console for fullscreen, scale to fit, and buttons that send Esc and Ctrl+Alt+Del.
Cannot connect?
Check that the VM is running and has finished provisioning.
Check the VM firewall allows SSH (port 22) or RDP (port 3389) from your address.
Use the browser console to check the VM from the inside.
