Engines
PostgreSQL: 17, 16: 5432 (pooled connections through PgBouncer on 25061)
MySQL: 8.4: 3306
Valkey (Redis-compatible): 8: 6379
Create the cluster
Open Databases and choose Create database.
Pick the engine and version, then a size. Disk can grow later but cannot shrink. Valkey keeps its data in memory.
Network access: the database gets a private address that VMs in the same project can reach. Turn on Public endpoint only if you need to connect from outside ByteNests, and list the trusted IPv4 addresses or ranges.
Name the cluster (3 to 32 lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens; it cannot be changed) and choose a weekly maintenance window in UTC.
Billing starts when the database is ready.
