Payment methods, billing periods, invoices, budgets and usage reports.
Payment methods
Add a card under Billing → Payment methods. Your primary card is charged automatically when each billing period closes. Card details are stored by Stripe, not on ByteNests servers. You can add several cards and choose which one is primary.
How services are billed
Virtual machines: Hourly, monthly, or yearly (12-month commitment, paid monthly or up front). See Create a VM.
Web hosting and cloud storage: By the plan you pick.
Domains: Per registration period, with optional yearly auto-renew.
Object storage: By what you store, download (egress) and request. Uploads are free.
Managed databases and apps: A monthly price per size. Billing starts when the database is ready or the app’s first deployment goes live.
Container registry: Hourly, by the GB stored. Pulls from your VMs and apps are free; public pulls are billed per GB.
Game servers: Hourly, up to the monthly price, from the end of the install.
Prices are shown in the create form before you confirm and on each product page. Invoices are recorded in USD.
The Billing pages
Overview: Usage so far this period, the projected total for the month, credits and anything past due.
VM usage: Cost per VM over time.
Network traffic: Traffic recorded for your VMs, by direction and protocol.
History: Every invoice. Download paid invoices as PDF.
Payment methods: Your cards and which one is primary.
Settings: A monthly budget, and your billing account details.
Monthly budget
Under Billing → Settings, set a monthly limit and turn on Email me when spending nears the limit. The budget is an alert, not a hard stop: resources keep running.
Unpaid invoices
If a payment fails, the invoice stays open. Pay it from Billing → History. Services on accounts with unpaid invoices can be suspended until the balance is paid.
