Create the registry
Open Container Registry and choose Create registry. Each account has one registry.
Name it: 3 to 63 lowercase letters, numbers and single hyphens, starting with a letter. The name is the first part of every image path and cannot be changed.
Set a storage limit. It is a cap, not a charge: you pay only for the GB you store.
Choose whether to scan images on push, and create your first access token. Its secret is shown once.
Push an image
Log in with the token as the password, tag the image with your registry path, then push. The registry page shows these commands with your own address filled in.
docker login <registry host>
docker tag my-app:1.0 <registry address>/my-app:1.0
docker push <registry address>/my-app:1.0
Pull and run
Pull with docker pull, after logging in. Pulls from your ByteNests VMs and App Platform apps are free. An App Platform app can run an image from your registry and redeploy when you push a new one.
